The pitch

Every day one hidden pattern of five pieces, the same one for everyone. Each piece has a shape and a colour, and you get six guesses to find all ten. The board tells you what was right, never where. Find the structure underneath and the rest falls out.

How it plays

A five-by-five grid: each of the five shapes drawn once in each of the five colours.

Every cell is two things

A shape and a colour, and both have to be right, in the right place. Five shapes, five colours, twenty-five ways to fill a single cell.

Four cells showing the four answers: a full blue circle, an empty diamond outline, a green drop of colour, and an open cell.

The board proves, it never points

Each guess tells you which shapes were right and which colours were right - never which piece, never how close. Whatever the board has proved comes back on the next row on its own.

Four rows of five glyphs, each row a different structure: all the same, alternating, stepping through, and mirrored around the middle.

Every answer is a pattern

The answer is never random. A repeat, an alternation, a progression, a block, a mirror - working out which one it is tonight is the moment the puzzle turns.

Screens

The board on day 252: two guessed rows of glyphs above four empty ones, with the shape and colour pickers below.
The how-to-play screen explaining that every cell is a shape and a colour, and what the board returns after each guess.
Settings: the colour-blind fill toggle, and the six boards - Cream Enamel unlocked, five more with the full game.
