What this game collects
Nothing. Hunch has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking of any kind. Everything the game knows about you stays on your device, and the studio never sees any of it.
What stays on your device
The game saves four things locally and nowhere else: which puzzles you have played and how many guesses each took, your current and longest streak, your settings - board, colour-blind mode, sound, haptics, reminders - and whether you have bought the full game. Deleting the app deletes all of it.
Game Center
If you are signed in to Game Center, Hunch submits two numbers to Apple's leaderboards: your longest streak and how many puzzles you have solved. Your Game Center nickname is shown beside them to other players. Apple handles all of it under Apple's privacy policy, and your Apple account details never reach the studio. The whole game plays without signing in; only the leaderboards need it.
Purchases
The full game is a one-time purchase handled by Apple. Payment details are never sent to the studio and the studio never sees them - only a signal from Apple that the purchase is valid.
Notifications
If you allow it, Hunch sends one reminder a day when a new puzzle is available. The notification is scheduled on your device and nothing is sent from a server. You can turn it off in the app, or in the Settings app.
Children
Hunch is rated 4+ and is safe for children. Since it collects nothing, there is nothing to collect from a child either.
If this ever changes
If a future version collects anything at all, this page will be updated before that version ships, and the change will be described here rather than buried. Questions go to hunch@pacificfrontdesk.com.
