The short version
We collect nothing ourselves. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and nothing about you is ever sent to us. Latlas does need the internet, because the imagery comes from Google, so Google sees those requests - explained below rather than buried.
What stays on your iPhone
The game saves your finished games (score, date, time limit and each round's result), the stats worked out from them, and your settings. Two Apple services can carry a little of it: if you are signed in to iCloud, your daily-challenge progress and streak sync through your own iCloud account, and if you use Game Center, your scores go to Apple's Game Center under your Game Center name. Apple holds that data under Apple's own privacy policy; we never receive it.
Google Maps and Street View
The panoramas and the world map come from Google. When a round loads, your iPhone asks Google for the imagery directly, and Google receives what it needs to answer, including your IP address. We send Google nothing about you, and nothing in that exchange passes through us. That use is governed by the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
What Google's software collects
Latlas includes Google's Maps software, which collects some data for Google, not for us. Google's disclosure for it lists a device identifier and other technical data, linked to the device and used for analytics and to make the maps work, and crash, performance and basic interaction data, not linked to you. Google states none of it is used for tracking. We do not receive it.
Notifications
If you turn on New challenge alerts, the reminder is scheduled on your iPhone itself; nothing is sent from a server. Turn it off in the game's Settings or the iPhone Settings app.
Where you are
Latlas never asks for your location and does not use it. The game is about guessing where the picture is, not where you are.
Children
Latlas is suitable for children. It collects nothing, so there is nothing to collect from a child. Street View imagery is real photography of public places, shown as Google provides it.
Changes
If a future version collects anything at all, adds purchases or adds advertising, this page and the App Store privacy label will be updated before that version ships. Latlas is published by Oleg Nochka.
